Questions? We've got answers

Quick answers to common questions.

What does Caldasa provide?
Caldasa is the operations backbone for service-based businesses. Run reservations across every resource you own (boats, rooms, equipment, instructors), keep one customer record across bookings + tickets + merchandise, sell ticketed events, capture deposits and waivers, and let staff and door scanners hit the same API. One tenant, one panel, one source of truth.
What makes Caldasa different from other booking platforms?
Most booking tools were built for a single calendar. Caldasa was built around resources, locations, and customers — so the same pipeline handles a 1-on-1 lesson, a 12-seat sail, a ticketed event, and a kiosk check-in without bolt-ons. Multi-location ops, hardware terminals, and a public REST API are first-class, not Enterprise add-ons.
How quickly can I get started?
Most teams are taking real bookings within an afternoon. The onboarding checklist walks you through locations, resources, services, deposit policy, and a public booking link in 10 steps. CSV imports for customers and historical bookings finish the picture.
What integrations do you support?
Stripe (online + Terminal hardware), QuickBooks Online for orders/invoicing export, email/SMS providers for confirmations and reminders, and a public REST API + webhooks for everything else. If you can hit a URL, you can integrate Caldasa.
What kind of support do you provide?
Email and chat on every plan. Pro plans add priority response and onboarding sessions. Scale tier includes a dedicated account manager, shared Slack channel, and an SLA on response and uptime.
Can I migrate from another booking tool?
Yes — bring your customers, historical bookings, gift cards, and waiver records via CSV import. We've migrated teams off Mindbody, Acuity, FareHarbor, Bookeo, and homegrown spreadsheets. Talk to sales for a hands-on migration if you have more than ~5,000 customers.
Do you support multi-location operations?
Yes. Caldasa is built around tenants and locations from day one — each location has its own resources, staff, hours, and reporting, but you manage everything from a single panel and one customer database.
Can I sell tickets and merchandise too?
Yes. Ticketed events sit on the same booking engine (capacity caps, hold lists, multiple price tiers). The Orders module handles merchandise, gift cards, and add-ons, all reconciled into one customer ledger.
Do I need a developer to use Caldasa?
No — the portal does everything most teams need without code. The public API and webhooks are there if you want to build a kiosk app, sync with a custom site, or pipe data into BI tools.
Can I take payments at the front desk?
Yes. Stripe Terminal is built in — tap-to-pay, chip, swipe — with the same orders ledger and refund flow as online payments. Tips, deposits, and balance-dues all flow through one reconciled record.
